Subscription Plans
Greenbrier County Emergency Ambulance is the 24-hour Emergency Medical Service agency for residents of Caldwell, Fairlea, Lewisburg, Ronceverte, part of Williamsburg and surrounding areas. We are now enrolling residents in our annual Subscription Membership Plan, a savings opportunity for you.
As a non-profit organization, we operate on funds raised in our local area and on fees for the services we provide. We are NOT funded by county or local government. Community support is vital to ensuring our service operates at the highest possible level. Your subscription membership will help ensure our ability to provide the best care for you and your family.
The Subscription Membership plan covers medically necessary emergency services and transportation to the emergency department of either Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea or Lewis-Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor, Virginia. The subscription plan does not cover transportation to a doctor's office, clinic, scheduled admissions or return trips home. The plan is effective yearly from July 1st to June 30th the following year.
Our Subscription Membership Plan is not insurance. It is a voluntary plan to limit expenses, in advance, if you use our service. If we provide Emergency Medical Services for you as a subscription member, we bill your insurance. Your insurance reimbursement is then accepted as payment in full. Your Subscription Membership Plan covers any co-payment or deductible which insurance does not pay, sometimes as much as 50% of the total bill. If your insurance denies covered emergency medical service, you will not be responsible for the balance. SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERS DO NOT PAY OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE THAT IS MEDICALLY NECESSARY.
