Greenbrier County Emergency Ambulance Service proudly protects 18,000 citizens of Greenbrier County. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status.

We also have a First Responder program with Lewisburg Fire Department. They are dispatched along with us to certain calls in their area that are possibly critical in nature (Chest Pain, Difficulty Breathing, Cardiac Arrests, etc.) This has proved to be a very useful and valuable asset to the community.

GCEAS was established in 1974. In the beginning we were all volunteers. Over the years the business has grown to a paid staff that work 8, 12, and 24 hour shifts. We currently average between 300-350 runs per month.
